EURO 2016 has its first confirmed Werder player. László Kleinheisler has been named in Hungary’s final squad for this summer’s European Championship in France. The midfielder is one of 23 players selected by German coaching duo Bernd Stock and Andreas Möller.

Werder’s winter signing only made his senior international debut at the start of this year but played a big part in Hungary reaching their first EUROs in 44 years: the 22-year-old scored the only goal in his country’s 1-0 play-off first-leg win over Norway, paving the way to qualification for the finals.
