Now that our Bundesliga status is secure, the pre-season plans ahead of the 2016/17 campaign are being finalised. SV Werder kick start preparation at the ever-reliable Zillertal Arena, where the squad has trained in excellent conditions for five consecutive years now. “The training camp in Zillertal is one of the most important aspects of our summer preparation. We’re very happy now that everything is confirmed. After securing survival, and with the added security that gives our planning, we were able to make more detailed plans these last few days,” explained sporting chief, Thomas Eichin.

Due to the team’s participation at the Dresden Cup on 29th/30th July 2016, the Zillertal training camp will be slightly delayed. The camp, which is located at the foot of the Austrian Alps, will take place from 21st-29th July. On the final day the team will train once more on site, before heading to Dresden for the friendlies against Real Betis.
