The important thing however, was not who scored the goal, but how important it was in keeping Werder in the Bundesliga. "We both half scored it," said Djilobodji. Ujah added: "I don’t know how scored it really, but it doesn’t matter to me. I’m just happy we scored."

Officially, the goal was awarded to Chelsea loanee Djilobodji. "It was really unbelievable, words can’t describe it," said a pumped-up Ujah. The Nigerian striker ran half the length of the pitch before he could be stopped by his teammates to celebrate in front of the home fans. "I didn’t know what I was doing, I just wanted to run and run and run."
"We earned this victory together," said Djilobodji. "Now we can celebrate it."
