On Saturday when Werder travel to Cologne there is only one aim – get a win to keep the distance from the relegation zone. Anthony Ujah and Co. will be wanting to take the momentum from the 6-2 win against Stuttgart into the next game. The Nigeria international scored the last goal in the eight-goal thriller and is sure of a game full of character against Köln. He was at the Billy Goats for three years before joining Werder.

"I am looking forward to playing there again, in the stadium and in front of the fans. I had three important years there," said the 25-year-old. He spent the 2012/13 season on loan in Cologne and then signed on to play a further two years there. In 102 games he scored 36 goals and played a big part in their return to the Bundesliga.

His transfer to Bremen last season came as a shock to many fans and their disappointment was very public. The former Köln man may have a tough time on his return. "I am not expecting a nice atmosphere," he said. In his first game against them for Werder he scored the winner in a 1-0 win in the cup. "That’s just how it is in football. It’s a shame but I won’t be bothered by it." Despite expecting a bad reception, he wants to remain focused on Werder’s task at hand. "I am concentrating on the game. I just want to help my team."
