The good news to report ahead of the game against Wolfsburg is that, as Viktor Skripnik confirmed in a press conference, Pizarro would return to full team training on Thursday afternoon.
The Peru striker took part in the training session at 15:00 CEST after his back injury and rib-muscle pull had mostly healed. The head coach was clearly grateful to have him back in the squad. "He’s showed how important he is and has already scored lots of goals. We're happy to have a player of his calibre back on the pitch," said the Ukrainian. Skripnik is, however, not yet sure about whether he’ll play at the weekend. "He won’t train fully today, but rather just try it out and see how it feels. We’ll have to wait and see."
