There was hope that Claudio Pizarro and Clemens Fritz would make a return for the Saturday’s upcoming game against Augsburg, but it has now been confirmed that only Fritz will be available. Viktor Skripnik revealed the news after the final training session on Friday.
"The medical department really did everything they could to get me fit for the game. I’m happy to be back," said Fritz. "It’s very important for us to have Clemens back for tomorrow," said the Werder head coach. "Of course it is a shame that Claudio won’t be there," he continued.
