SV Werder will have to make do without Luca Zander for the coming weeks. The 20-year-old tore the ligament in his right ankle during training. He will be out for between four and six weeks.
"Unfortunately it’s the same ankle again. It’s all gone wrong for me, I was desperate to try and help the U23s avoid relegation. Now I have to wait and let the injury heal up," said Zander, who played in the U23s’ recent 2-0 win against Halleschen FC.
