SV Werder Bremen and FSV Mainz 05 have made an agreement over the transfer of Rouven Schröder. The 40-year-old Green-White sporting director has terminated his contract with Werder and takes over as sporting director at Mainz.

"We have found a solution that suits all parties in the last few days. We want to thank Rouven for his work over the past two years and wish him luck with his next challenge," said Thomas Eichin, chief executive of Werder.

Eichin signed Schröder from Greuther Fürth in summer of 2014. After the transfer of Mainz’s Chirstian Heidel to Schalke, Schröder has gone to replace him.
