SV Werder Bremen will have to go without Clemens Fritz in the home game against Darmstadt tomorrow. The captain will be back in training this weekend doing running exercises. "I will be doing laps on the training ground on Saturday," he said. Fritz was in Munich on Thursday for a check up on his ankle injury.

"Should his ankle react well, we will increase the intensity so that he can return to team training on Monday," explained team doctor Dr. Philip Heitmann.
