According to a werder.de survey, 53,18% of the 66,832 people who took the survey selected the Brazilian midfield ace Diego as the top man in Green-White in the last season. In second place was German international Torsten Frings who picked up 23,68% of the vote (15,824 votes) whilst Brazilian centre half Naldo got the votes of 23,14% of those polled (15,467 votes).
