Werder Bremen striker Claudio Pizarro is very much looking forward to the game against Cologne on Saturday. Not only does he hope to lead his team to three points in the league but also he can become the highest scoring foreign goal scorer in German Bundesliga history. "I would be very nice to do it in a home game, and best would be right away against Cologne. I feel really good and believe I can do it. I always want to score," said the Peruvian striker. The current mark is 133 goals for Giovane Elber, a record which has special meaning to Pizarro, who has not kept secret his feelings about it. "This record has been on my mind for a long time and it would mean a lot to break it. Anything else would be a lie," said Pizarro, who is close to the mark with 132 goals. Two goals against Cologne would set a new record.

Bremen's club bosses are relaxed looking at the Peruvian's scoring record hunt. "Of course that is a very special mark. But we will not come up with any sort of welcoming committee because of it. The main thing is the success of the team, a successful end of the season. In comparison, the record doesn't have that big of a meaning," said manager Klaus Allofs. "In a couple of months we won't be talking about whether or not Claudio set this mark. He is so good that he will eventually break the record and set a new mark which is quite a bit better. That would not be a surprise to us. We expected that from him. We acquired him to score goals - both 10 years ago as a young player and in his return from Chelsea."
