Werder unveil Yingsheng as important Chinese partner

SV Werder Bremen have secured a future with a strong Chinese partner.

SV Werder Bremen have started a new cooperation with yet another major partner in China. The Green-Whites unveiled their collaboration with Chinese company Yingsheng Sports Culture Development ltd. on Friday, whose core business is the organisation and marketing of sports events in China, as well as running local football academies. The aim of Werder’s new partner, who are shareholders at English Premier League club West Bromwich Albion, is to strengthen footballing relationships between Europe and China.

Werder CEO Klaus Filbry believes the collaboration is an important step for the Green-Whites. “We have held comprehensive talks in the past months that have ended in a successful cooperation. We’re delighted that our partners consider SV Werder Bremen’s know-how to be extremely valuable. We will work very closely with Yingsheng Sports Culture over the coming years,” said Filbry.

Chairman of Yingsheng Sports Culture Development ltd. Zhang Quan Cheng is impressed by what Werder bring to the table: “We scoured the German market intensively and SV Werder Bremen’s know-how really appealed to us. We’re convinced that Werder are the right partner in order for us to achieve our goals.”

As well as the company having a visual presence at the Weser-Stadion, the collaboration will provide a platform for knowledge sharing around the professional setup of footballing structures, encompassing not just sporting know-how, but also organisational issues, academy structuring and the development of young players.
