"It's obviously very disappointing for Naby, as he had only just returned to full fitness. It's not a serious injury, but he will definitely miss at least both of our upcoming two matches," said Clemens Fritz, Werder's head of professional football.
In other news, captain Marco Friedl came out of the game against Hoffenheim feeling good, and will now use the international break to continue recovering from his stomach muscle injury. As a result, he will train individually this coming week.
