The Green-Whites have started preparations for their opening match of the second half of the season against reigning Bundesliga champions FC Bayern München. Due to his yellow-card suspension, Marvin Ducksch has undergone dental surgery ahead of schedule, and will be absent from training this week. Niklas Stark and Christian Groß will be working individually inside the wohninvest WESERSTADION for the first session in preparation for matchday 18.

Alongside Milos Veljkovic (knee pain), Amos Pieper (broken ankle), Leon Opitz (ruptured ankle ligament) and Spyros Angelidis (broken hand), Cimo Röcker will work individually on Wednesday due to muscle problems. Naby Keïta is still away with Guinea for AFCON in Côte d'Ivoire.
