After Werder’s aspirations to run their mid-season training camp in Spain last year were ruined at short notice by COVID-19, the Green-Whites will make a new attempt in 2023. From the 2nd - 9th of January, Ole Werner’s side will prepare for the second half of the Bundesliga season in Murcia.
And just like last time, Werder will make the journey with FC St. Pauli, who will be staying not far from Werder’s own headquarters in Spain. A chartered flight from Bremen airport will fly to Alicante, and from there a bus will take both sides to their respective training grounds.
Both teams won’t just meet at the airport, but also on the football pitch. On Wednesday 04.01.23, Werder will take on St. Pauli in a friendly. The match will kick off at 15:30 CET in the Pinatar Arena in Murcia. The Green-Whites will also have another friendly. On Sunday 08.01.2023 around 15:30 CET, they will face off against Swiss first division side FC St. Gallen. Further information regarding tickets will follow in the coming weeks.
