SV Werder Bremen have agreed a loan deal with VfL Wolfsburg for Maximilian Philipp. The 28-year-old attacker joins the Green-Whites until the end of the season, subject to a medical examination. In addition, Oliver Burke is about to complete a loan move to another club, also dependent on a medical.

Philipp has made three Bundesliga appearances for VfL this season, and in total has played 137 times in the top flight for SC Freiburg, Borussia Dortmund and VfL Wolfsburg, with 27 goals and 15 assists.

Burke, in turn, moved to Werder from Sheffield United during the summer break. So far, the 25-year-old Scot has played 17 competitive matches for SVW, scoring two goals. The attacker will also be on loan until the end of the season.
