Milos Veljkovic was once again in the starting eleven for Serbia in their second group game of the World Cup. The central defender played 78 minutes of the 3-3 draw against Cameroon and along with his teammates went through an emotional rollercoaster.
Serbia overturned a 1-0 deficit prior to half time, scoring twice in a three minute spell just before the break. Having drawn, Veljkovic and Serbia still have a chance of progressing to the last 16, but they will have to win their final group game against Switzerland. The game on Friday evening (02.12.2022, 20:00 CET) will be particularly special for the Werder defender, who was born in Basel and also holds Swiss citizenship.

Having scored the equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Spain, the goalscorer secured a point for Germany, putting Hansi Flick’s team in a better position to qualify for the knock-out stages ahead of their final group game. The Germany national team play Costa Rica on Thursday (01.12.2022, 20:00 CET) in their third group game, and are hoping that they can win, and Spain will do them a favour against Japan.
