Werder forward Niclas Füllkrug scored the first World Cup goal of his career on Sunday evening. Füllkrug scored Germany’s only goal of the game with a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Spain.

Fülle came off the bench to replace Thomas Müller in the 70th minute with his side 1-0 behind and scored the equaliser just over 10 minutes later. His second goal in three international caps, the 30-year-old’s goal secured Germany a point and a chance to advance from their World Cup group on Thursday (01/12, 20:00 CET) against Costa Rica.
