SV Werder Bremen will be without Felix Agu for the remainder of the 2022/23 season. Due to persistent patellar tendon problems, the 23-year-old is set to undergo surgery on 2nd May.
"Felix has been dealing with this issue since the end of last year. We have followed a conservative treatment approach thus far, which saw Felix able to return to training. Unfortunately, the problem has persisted and there's a risk that it could develop into a reoccurring, long-term issue. Looking ahead to next season, and after consulting with the club, Felix has decided to undergo a minor surgical procedure, in order to be ready to go again in the summer," said Clemens Fritz, head of football and scouting at Werder Bremen.
