Josh Sargent will leave SV Werder Bremen to join promoted Premier League side Norwich City, after the two clubs reached an agreement for the transfer of the striker. 

Joshua Sargent will not be in the squad for SV Werder Bremen’s first-round DFB-Pokal tie against VfL Osnabrück, after not taking part in training on Friday. The reason for the US International striker’s absence is ongoing transfer negotiations.

Meanwhile in the USA’s international friendly against Jamaica, Josh Sargent set up the second goal as the Americans beat the Reggae Boyz 4-1.

Josh Sargent has set himself the ambitious goal of being Werder’s top scorer come the end of the season. “As a striker, it would be dumb not to want to be the top scorer for your team. I want to be that guy. The season isn’t over yet and I will keep working hard towards that goal,” says the USMNT striker.
