Werder always score. But they had to settle for a point in Wolfsburg. Both teams had chances in the first half, but it was the home side that were marginally on top. 63 mins: Maxi Eggestein calls Pervan into action with well-struck effort. From the resulting corner, Gebre Selassie’s effort is again saved.
74 mins: GOOAALLL! Max Kruse! Maxi Eggestein puts in a great ball from the right-hand side and the captain meets it to bury a left-footed effort and get Werder back on terms!
90+3 mins: Full time. There were no more clear-cut chances in the game and Werder take a point home from Wolfsburg.
