Werder have kept their hopes of qualifying for Europe this season alive by drawing 2-2 with Borussia Dortmund at home. Pulisic gave the away side an early lead just six minutes into the game before Alcacer added another before half time from a free kick. The game changed in the second half after a double substitution from Florian Kohfeldt, bringing on Kevin Möhwald and Claudio Pizarro. Möhwald got one back for Werder, aided by a goalkeeping error. Pizarro then scored the equaliser five minutes later. Werder could have gone on to win the game but get a point.

Line-up and formation: There were three changes from last week’s game in Düsseldorf, with Johannes Eggestein, the suspended Niklas Moisander and the injured Theo Gebre Selassie dropping out. Yuya Osako, Sebastian Langkamp and Marco Friedl came into the side.
