Straight after the final matchday of the season, Werder’s preparations for the 2018/19 season have begun. Werder’s sporting director Frank Baumann announced the signing of Kevin Möhwald from 1. FC Nürnberg. The exact details of the transfer have not been disclosed.
“We have followed Kevin’s development for several years and are delighted that he’s decided to join Werder. We’re convinced that Bremen is the right club for him to make the next step,” said Werder’s sporting director, Frank Baumann.
Head coach Florian Kohfeldt is also looking forward to working with the midfielder: “Kevin is a very talented footballer who has shown us his quality on the pitch time and time again. I’m happy that he’ll join us this summer. He’s a good lad who is a great fit for our team.”
Those words will be music to the 24-year-old’s ears: “I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to join a club of Werder Bremen’s stature. Werder are one of the most traditional clubs in the Bundesliga with a strong identity. I’m fully convinced this is the best place for me to be.”
