SV Werder Bremen have signed South Korean centre-back Kyu-Hyun Park on loan from K-League side Ulsan Hyundai FC. The Green-Whites have secured an option-to-buy clause to sign the 18 year-old permanently. Park will play for Werder’s U19s team. The final contract formalities will be carried out over the next few days and WERDER’s academy director Björn Schierenbeck confirmed the signing on Thursday evening (11th July).

“Kyu-Hyun Park has already impressed us time and again from afar. He was able to build upon these first impressions during his two-week long trial in our U19s and U23s, so we are delighted that he has chosen to join SV Werder,” said Björn Schierenbeck.

Kyn-Hyun Park was a key player for Ulsan Hyundai FC’s youth teams and he is also captain of South Korea U18s.
