Werder Bremen received the green light from the health authorities at the beginning of the week to allow Marco Friedl, Milos Veljkovic, Manuel Mbom and rehabilitation coach Marcel Abanoz to end their periods of self-isolation after their positive Covid tests. In addition to the latest test results, a recommendation from the RKI was given by the Bremen health department as a reason for the early termination of isolation, which recommends a shortening to the period of isolation in justified cases. Another point for the decision was the continued daily PCR testing of all Werder Bremen players.

Therefore, Marco Frield, Manuel Mbom and Milos Veljkovic are able to return to training and will work individually to begin with, following medical checks. At the end of his 14-day isolation, Mitchell Weiser will also return and resume training following medical examinations. Niclas Füllkrug remains in isolation for the time being.
