Marco Friedl: “We accept that we got lucky on a couple of occasions in the first half, such as when they hit the post. It was unacceptable to concede so soon after going 2-0 up, even if the goal was eventually ruled out for offside. We’ll need to analyse that, but at the end of the day, we deserved to win.”
Marvin Ducksch: “We played well in the first half and got stuck into challenges, which we knew would be vital today. We’ve won against Heidenheim, and I have to pay everyone who was on that pitch today a huge compliment, because it wasn’t easy, they didn’t allow us much space. But we were excellent today.”
Milos Veljkovic: “We’d prepared a lot ahead of this match, and we started well but didn’t have anything to show for it. Marco’s goal was very important and a great response, and we even got another one straightaway, securing a deserved victory.”
Markus Anfang: “I think we were much better in the tackle today, and all we were missing at the start was a goal to show for it. After Marco’s goal we said we were going to go straight after another goal, and that’s exactly what we did. If we start a half like that, putting the opposition under pressure and being strong in the challenge, we’ll get better results than the one we got in Dresden, and we certainly showed that today.”
