Markus Anfang: “We played very well, I can only criticise our chance conversion. We were a bit sloppy defensively in the final 20 minutes, but overall it was a good performance. The lads were very sharp in attack, and we did well offensively today, which makes it difficult to pick out any flaws, but we could have scored more goals towards the end of the game, and so we could definitely be more clinical.
Marvin Ducksch: “I am very happy to have played my part in the team again today. I am glad we’ve made a good start after the break. We wanted to control the game from the start and stay solid in defence. The first half was great, but we did let our standards slip somewhat in the second half, so we now need to work on maintaining our performance for the entire 90 minutes.”
Mitchell Weiser: “It’s great that we won and that I got on the scoresheet, but we saw today that we can play even better – myself included. I’ve realised that I need to get back into the swing of things because I am not quite 100 per cent fit. But it’s been really fun to get back playing again. The team worked well overall today, but we could definitely improve. We’ve got a very young team and we’ll see how we get on with each game, but today was a good start.”
