SV Werder Bremen’s home fixture against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday 15tht January (13:30 CET) will be played behind closed doors at the wohninvest WESERSTADION. It was already announced following the conference of German Federal State governors before Christmas that Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches would not be allowed to welcome spectators.

“Football without fans is simply a different kind of football. Of course we’d like to be able to welcome fans into the ground, but due to the current pandemic situation in Germany and the high number of cases in the state of Bremen, we understand the government’s decision,” commented Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald, president and chief executive of SV Werder Bremen.
