In preparation for the 2020/21 season, SV Werder Bremen have arranged six preseason friendlies. The first will take place on Sunday, 9th August against newly-promoted second division side Eintracht Braunschweig (kick-off: 13:00 CEST).

Werder will take part in two friendlies during training camp in the Zillertal (15th-25th August). The Green-Whites will face Austrian first-division side Linzer ASK at the Parkstadion in Zell on Wednesday, 19th August (kick-off: 17:00 CEST). Training camp will end with a second friendly against SC Austria Lustenau on Monday, 24th August (kick-off likely to be at 13:00 CEST).

Upon returning home, the Green-Whites will play two friendlies on Saturday, 29th August in Lohne. Head coach Florian Kohfeldt’s side will face Dutch first-division side FC Groningen at 15:00 CEST, before facing FC St. Pauli at 17:15 CEST.

The sixth and final friendly will take place on the training grounds of the wohninvest WESERSTADION on Saturday, 5th September as Werder face second-tier side Hannover 96 (kick-off: 15:30 CEST).

Due to the measures in place to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus, all matches will take place behind closed doors. SV Werder will monitor the developments in this area over the coming weeks and will make adjustments regarding the admission of spectators if possible.

Werder fans will, however, be able to watch their team in action against Eintracht Braunschweig, as the club will be offering a free live stream of the match. Other selected friendlies will also be live streamed, with further information to follow shortly.
