The first Werder player is back on the training ground at Osterdeich. Kevin Möhwald returned this week to complete some individual training sessions, before working with rehabilitation coach Jens Beulke on the pitch on Wednesday and Friday.

“I have been back in Bremen since Monday and I’ve completed a few running and gym sessions. They felt good, even if they were quite tiring,” said Möhwald. He’s also been back with a football, and the midfielder is hoping to be able to complete parts of team training when pre-season kicks off on 3rd August.

Möhwald ended his holiday in Ibiza to come back to work on his comeback in Bremen. The midfielder missed almost all of the last season after undergoing a knee operation, only featuring in the season opener against Atlas Delmenhorst in the DFB-Pokal and on matchday 2 against Hoffenheim.
