Tuesday afternoon's training came too soon for three Werder players. Marco Friedl, Milos Veljkovic and Niclas Füllkrug trained individually, but hope to be in action on Friday evening as the team take on RB Leipzig in the semi-final of the DFB-Pokal.

Milos Veljkovic suffered a broken nose in the home match against 1. FSV Mainz 05, but the defender was able to train individually with a special protective mask. Marco Friedl was also back on the training pitch after a pelvic bruise. Niclas Füllkrug was training individually as a precautionary measure after suffering a broken toe. An appearance on Friday evening is therefore not out of the question for all three.
