Milot Rashica only managed a cameo appearance in the friendly against Austria Lustenau. The Kosovan was taken off again after just 17 minutes on the pitch. “Milot had circulation problems,” explained head coach Florian Kohfeldt after the 4-2 win. “He was desperate to play and tried, but was dizzy and needed to come off. We spoke about doing this before hand,” commented Kohfeldt.

Milos Veljkovic, Davy Klaassen and Stefanos Kapino couldn’t take part in the final friendly in Zilltertal. Veljkovic had to rest after a muscle hardening in his thigh. He will train individually in the afternoon in Zillertal. “We don’t want to take any risks,” explained Kohfeldt.

While his teammates were playing their third pre-season friendly, Stefanos Kapino was undergoing an MRI scan. The goalkeeper had pains in his ankle on Sunday. No exact diagnosis has been made so far.

Davy Klaassen is expected to be out for between 10-12 days. The MRI scans done in Austria have also been examined by the team doctor and in Bremen. According to Kohfeldt, Klaassen is suffering from a capsular injury, which was caused by kick, although the vice-captain can’t remember when it happened. The head coach expects the Dutch midfielder to return during the week of the Hannover friendly. “It’s nothing dramatic because he knows how everything works. He’s done a lot of the fitness work too.”
