Eren Dinkci was sent from the field during injury time (90+4th minute) of Saturday's game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. After a foul on Nadiem Amiri, referee Markus Schmidt showed the red card. It was Dinkci's first sending-off, and the 19-year-old has subsequently been handed a three-match ban by the German Football Association (DFB).

The sending off was the team's first straight red card of the season. Kevin Möhwald saw the only other dismissal, picking up two yellow cards on Matchday 9 at VfL Wolfsburg.
