Florian Kohfeldt will be without Christian Groß and Patrick Erras in the coming weeks after both players had to cut Wednesday’s training session short with muscle injuries. "It’s bad news for both players. They will both be out for two to four weeks with muscle injuries: Groß in his calf and Patrick in his hip-flexor," revealed Kohfeldt during Thursday’s press conference.

SV Werder will also be without Patrick Erras for several weeks (nordphoto).

For Saturday’s away game against Bayer Leverkusen, the head coach will, however, be able to call on Niclas Füllkrug and Davie Selke, as planned. The two forwards increased their training output in the last week and while Selke is an option for 45-60 minutes, Füllkrug will start on the bench after completing Friday’s session in full.

Niklas Moisander will also be back in the squad on Saturday. "He will train individually today (Thursday), but will be in the matchday squad," said Kohfeldt. "Felix Agu missed one of the training sessions, but will also be there on Saturday," he added.
