SV Werder Bremen have confirmed their opponents for the first preseason friendly in preparation for 2020/21. Head coach Florian Kohfeldt's team will host newly-promoted second division side Eintracht Braunschweig on 9th August 2020. The match will kick-off at 13:00 CEST on pitch 11 at Werder's training ground. 

Due to the measures taken to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus, the match will take place behind closed doors. However, SV Werder will be offering a free live stream for fans to watch the game.
