Bartels leaves Werder Bremen

After six years with SV Werder Bremen, Fin Bartels has signed a contract with second-division club Holstein Kiel. The 33 year-old from Kiel returns home after 13 years away from the club where he began his career.

Bartels played a total of 131 competitive games for Werder during his six seasons at the club. In this time he scored 24 goals and also managed to record 22 assists. “We would like to sincerely thank Fin for the commitment that he has shown whilst wearing Werder colours, and we wish him all the best for the future,” said Frank Baumann, sporting director.
