Florian Kohfeldt: “It’s a very good feeling to have won. We had said before the game that it’s the type of match that can really help to kick-start your season. In the first half, we played very well and had complete control in my eyes. We matched Bielefeld well and created some good chances, as well as the offside goal. What we really need to talk about is the second half. We came unstuck with two or three long balls and started to lose the control we had. At the end, we had a bit of luck but it was not an undeserved victory by any stretch of the imagination.”
Frank Baumann: “As expected, it was a tough game. We started well and were able to establish ourselves well in the match. We’re very happy with the three points.”
Leonardo Bittencourt: “We deserved our lead definitely, but the second half was much more about our mentality and attitude than the first. But what's really important is that we were able to win today, as it’s only through wins that we can make progress. After tomorrow, nobody will ask me how the game was, so I don't care how the second half went. We picked up all three points and that is what’s important.”
Jean-Manuel Mbom: “Bielefeld are a very good team. They play good football and did well to get long balls into our half, which has always been a weakness of ours. At the end of the day, I’m just happy that we won.”
“The Bundesliga is just that bit faster and more athletic, but that's what I want; to compete with players like that and of course to play in such a good team. That's why it’s so much fun to play in this league.”
