Milos Veljkovic suffers muscle strain

Following further tests in Bremen, Milos Veljkovic has been diagnosed with a pulled calf muscle. Veljkovic picked up the injury during the relegation playoff second leg against 1. FC Heidenheim 1846, during which the centre-back was taken off injured in the 68th minute. 

Veljkovic made 28 competitive appearances for SV Werder in 2019/20. The 24-year-old will now use the summer break to rehab his injury in order to return to fitness ahead of the pre-season training camp.
