Leonardo Bittencourt left Sunday’s training session early with a bandaged ankle. An MRI scan revealed that the midfielder had suffered a minor ligament injury to his right ankle. Bittencourt will train individually on Thursday and has not been ruled out of playing in Sunday’s friendly against Hannover.

Fin Bartels, however will miss out on the friendly. The 32-year-old is struggling with muscle problems and, along with Philipp Bargfrede, will train individually at the hotel on Thursday. Yuya Osako will also train separately.  Similarly, Ludwig Augustinsson will continue to work on his comeback alone before joining the team.

Defender Milos Veljkovic completes the sextet of recovering players and will also not be training with the team. Instead, he will take part in a gym session at the training centre.
