Back to work on the Osterdeich! SV Werder completed two training sessions behind closed doors on Monday in preparation for next week’s home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen, which will be played without any fans. Kevin Vogt also took part in the session, after suffering a bruised rib during last weekend’s draw away at Hertha BSC.

However, three players were unavailable to take part in the session. Claudio Pizarro and Christian Groß were training individually in order to manage their workloads, while Ömer Toprak is still yet to recover from the injury he sustained against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Meanwhile, all of SV Werder’s training sessions this week will take place behind closed doors. Additionally, all Werder players have been advised not to take any selfies or autographs with fans due to the uncertainty regarding the Corona virus.
