Ömer Toprak arrived at the wohninveset WESERSTADION on Tuesday on crutches and wearing a protective boot. In addition to picking up a calf wound during the DFB-Pokal match against Eintracht Frankfurt, the defender also suffered an ankle ligament injury. The injury was confirmed during an MRI last week.

After waiting for the swelling in his ankle to go down and for his calf wound to heal, Toprak will now be wearing an protective boot in order to reduce the strain on his foot. The defender, who is on loan at the club from Borussia Dortmund, will take part in an individual rehabilitation program over the upcoming weeks.
