We will talk to Niklas tomorrow and decide whether he will be available for Paderborn or not. The signs are very positive at the moment.”

The injury to Josh Sargent is the only new problem for Kohfeldt to deal with. “It’s a massive shame because he’s been in really good form over the past few weeks.” Kohfeldt has been impressed with his performances both as a starter and off the bench, but the American will now be out of action until January. “He picked up the injury during shooting practice while away on national duty and aggravated it slightly during the Wolfsburg game,” explains Kohfeldt. “The tricky part is that it’s an injury to a very deep-seated muscle.
