DFL decision: Bundesliga matchday 27 suspended

The German Football League (DFL) announced on Monday that all matches in the Bundesliga and the Bundesliga 2. will be postponed until at least 2nd April. DFL Managing Director Christian Seifert announced the news after the general meeting in Frankfurt this afternoon.

As a result, SV Werder Bremen’s scheduled trip to SC Freiburg on Bundesliga matchday 27 will no longer take place. The 36 Bundesliga clubs will reconvene with the DFL in the week beginning on 30th March in order to discuss what will happen next. The UEFA conference scheduled for Tuesday 17th March is also of high importance.
