Milos Veljkovic will leave SV Werder Bremen at the end of the season after nine years at the club. The 29-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer, is set to join Crvena zvezda as announced by the Serbian capital club on Tuesday.

“We both accept and respect Milos’s decision to take this next step and rest assured that he will continue to give his all for this club in pursuit of our targets until the end of the season. He has become a key figure here at Werder over the course of his nine years in Bremen,” explained Green-Whites’ director of professional football Peter Niemeyer.

Milos Veljkovic joined SVW from Tottenham Hotspur in 2016. The Serbia international has made 242 competitive appearances for Werder, scoring seven goals along the way.
