On 22nd March, the Green-White family will come together to say OBRIGADO MÁGICO! To mark the occasion, SV Werder Bremen, hummel, and MATTHÄI have unveiled an iconic special jersey, featuring a green, white, and orange design inspired by the home kit from the 2006/07 season, Diego’s first campaign in Bremen.

Diego etched his name into Werder’s history books in his debut season, earning Germany’s 2007 Goal of the Year award with a stunning 62.5-metre strike against Alemannia Aachen. The now 40-year-old Brazilian made 132 appearances for the Green-Whites across the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, UEFA Cup, and Champions League, scoring 54 goals in total.
Now, it’s time for the Werder family to say thank you – and to do it in style! This special jersey pays tribute to the Brazilian maestro, featuring Diego’s iconic name and legendary number 10 on the back. Green side stripes adorned with lettering and stars add a unique touch, while the Werder diamond crest with the championship star takes pride of place in the centre of the chest, just above main sponsor MATTHÄI.
