Werder talent Wesley Adeh will continue his development at the Green-Whites after the 18-year-old signed a professional contract with the club on Friday, 10th January.

“Wesley has produced good performances on a consistent basis with the U19s and has made quite the impression during training and friendlies with the first team. Despite his young age, he already has a strong physique and is very keen to learn. We’re delighted that he will continue his development together with us here at Werder,” said Peter Niemeyer, director of professional football.

“I am proud and grateful that Werder continue to put their faith in me,” said the midfielder after signing his first professional deal. “I want to keep working hard to achieve my goals and dreams. The management have given me everything I need to do that.”

Wesley Adeh joined the Werder academy from SC Vahr-Blockdiek in 2019. The Bremen-born 18-year-old has made 14 competitive appearances for the U19s (2 goals, 2 assists). He trained with the first team under Ole Werner on several occasions in the first half of the season, was part of the squad at the Zillertal summer training camp and featured in a Bundesliga squad for the first time away in Wolfsburg on matchday 7 this term
