Director of professional football Clemens Fritz: “We are all very disappointed. We knew the task that was ahead of us. The performance wasn’t up to our standard for 70, 75 minutes. If you are missing that intensity and speed of passing and then you make a lot of errors overall, it’s just too easy in the end.”
Christian Groß: “We knew that it would be a fiery atmosphere here, but we didn’t manage to get into the game at all. It has definitely not been good enough in the last two away games and we have to change that. We got our foot in the door far too late today.”
Milos Veljkovic: “We weren’t at it from the very first minute, which is inexplicable. It was a deserved loss. If we defend like that, we will lose every game. We showed last week that we can play differently.
