The good news just keeps on coming for Niclas Füllkrug! Following on from his nomination for the Germany national team, Werder are delighted to announce that the Green-White goal machine has been voted as the Player of the Month for October. “I’m absolutely delighted that my performances are getting this kind of recognition and that I’ve been voted as the Player of the Month for the second time in a row,” enthused Lücke. Not only has Füllkrug picked up a trophy for this feat, he has also been rewarded with a special FIFA 23 card. 

The striker got off to a great start in October. He scored two goals and picked up an assist in the 5-1 home win over Borussia Mönchengladbach, before getting another goal and an assist in the 2-1 win over Hoffenheim the following week. He then capped of his month by scoring a last gasp winner against Hertha BSC at the wohninvest WESERSTADION.

Despite his outstanding individual success this season, Werder’s number eleven remains as humble as ever: “This is our joint success as a team,” explained the striker after he received the first of his back-to-back Player of the Month awards. “We are playing well as a whole group at the moment and we’re having a lot of fun. I am looking forward to every game.” Fans of FIFA 23 also have every reason to celebrate Lücke’s achievements in October, as the 29-year-old has received a special card as the Player of the Month. This means the striker’s rating will rise from 75 to 86 and as a fan of FIFA, Fülle is delighted: “I’m also really pleased with the new FIFA card. A massive thank you to the FIFA community for that!” Said Niclas, directly addressing those who voted for him in the fan voting.
