Data Protection Declaration
We attach great importance to protecting your private sphere! Therefore we would like to explain what we do with your data that is collected when you use our internet offering.
A. Usage data:
1. Google Analytics
For our websites, we use Google Analytics, which is an internet analysis service from Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics utilises so-called cookies, which are text files saved on your computer and make it possible to analyse the usage of mobile websites. The information generated by the cookies about your usage of the website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the United States and saved there. Google uses this information to evaluate your usage of the website to put together reports about the website activities and provides services connected with the website usage and internet usage to the website provider. The IP address which Google Analytics transmits from your browser is not combined with other data from Google. In order to increase the protection of your data, we employ Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()". This shortens the IP addresses that are processed so that no direct personal reference can be determined. You can stop the storage of cookies with a corresponding setting in your browser software. However, we point out that, in this regard, you may not be able to fully utilise all functions of the mobile website. In addition, you could prevent the gathering of the data (including your IP address) generated through the cookie and about the usage of the website as well as Google's processing of the data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in under the following link http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
So-called cookies are inserted on our pages. Cookies are small text files which are saved locally in the cache of your internet browser. The cookies make possible the recognition of the internet browser which allows you quicker access to our website and targeted content for future visits.
On our pages we use the so-called AddThis plug-in, which makes it easier for you to make bookmarks. AddThis is a product from AddThis LLC, 8000 Westpark Drive.Suite 625, McLean, VA 22102, USA. It utilizes cookies (see clause 2) through which the data (such as time of use and browser language) is transmitted to AddThis in the USA and processed there. More information about the extent and purpose of the collection and usage of the data can be found under www.addthis.com/privacy. We do not collect or process any of the affected data. You can stop at any time the usage of your data with help of an opt-out cookie. For this, you can also find tips at the aforementioned address.
B. Your personal data (inventory data):
1. What are "personal data" ?
Personal data are information about your person that gives an indication to your identity, e.g. your name, address or telephone number. Information that does not permit any conclusions about identified or identifiable persons is not included.
We use the personal data you send us online (e.g. when making purchases at our online shop) solely to render that service for which you have provided us with the data.
2. Your registration with WERDER.de:
You have to register before you can use our online services.
As part of the registration process, we need information about your name, address, date of birth, email address and a user name.
The data you provide are stored and used solely for providing the services you requested, e.g. buying products from the Fanshop or tickets.
For certain non-free offerings we also need bank or credit card details.
We only store your bank data if you want to pay by direct debit. If you shop using a credit card, we do not collect any payment data such as bank account or credit card numbers. These are recorded solely by the specialised online payment service providers we use. This means you can shop securely.
3. Storage of your data in a central database
We store collected data in a central database used by all the WERDER Group companies to render the various services.
The WERDER Group currently includes:
Sport - Verein „WERDER" von 1899 e.V.
SV WERDER BREMEN GmbH & Co KGaA
WERDER BREMEN Fan - Service GmbH
a) Why are the data stored centrally?
We have switched our online systems to a new customer system that is used by all the WERDER Group companies via a central database. This system enables us to work more economically and effectively whilst offering better protection of data and avoiding data duplication. You will also find our system more user friendly. With a single log-in you have access to the entire WERDER service portfolio. Create your profile with a user name and password once and, if you want, you can access other areas as well.
b) Why do we ask for your consent ?
Under the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG)) processing and using data does not require separate consent if this is done to fulfil a contractual relationship, or in so far as it is required to protect the justified interests of the storing entity and there is no reason for assuming that the person providing the data has an overriding interest worth being protected in the exclusion of the processing or use.
However, we would like to ensure that data are processed on a sound legal basis independently of such weighing of interests on a case-by-case basis. Therefore we have included a separate declaration of consent in the registration procedure for the WERDER website. This draws your attention once again to the fact that we store your data in a joint database operated by all the WERDER companies together.
If you do not want this, you can refuse to give your consent. In that case, your data will not be stored in the joint database. However, we will then be unable to offer you the WERDER online services.
In so far as you have expressly consented to your data (in particular your email address) being used for advertising purposes, we will also use your data to inform you from time to time about changes and special offers in our product line. If you have expressly consented, your data can also be transferred within the WERDER Group and used for member and promotional campaigns. Data are not passed to third parties outside the WERDER Group. You can revoke your consent at any time. We shall inform you about this in each mailing.
You will only receive our Newsletter if you expressly clicked that option during registration or have ordered it separately. If you no longer want to receive the Newsletter, you can cancel it at any time using the link at the end of each Newsletter. This information is repeated each time we send you our Newsletter.
