Schaaf: "Concentration on our own game"

Werder head coach Thomas Schaaf can rely once again on centre back Assani Lukimya against FC Augsburg.
Werder Bremen will be looking for an away victory to remain in the running for a European spot when they kick off the seventh game day of the Bundesliga against FC Augsburg on Friday 5 October 2012 at 8:30 p.m. at SGL Arena.

"We are in the situation that more is expected from us than from Augsburg," said Schaaf looking at the table. According to Schaaf, Markus Weinzierl's FCA clearly have more potential than what they have shown thus far this season. "Augsburg have not yet found their rhythm and team unity. Besides, two players are missing," said Schaaf, referring to the injuries of Simon Jentzsch and Ja-Cheol Koo. "The team has not yet shown what they can do. We must be aware that they can play much better," said Schaaf.

The Green-Whites will have centre back Assani Lukimya back in the squad after sitting out his two match ban. The Congolese will replace Werder U23 captain Felix Kroos, who took Lukimya's spot in the roster in Freiburg and against Bayern Munich. "I don't really get injured very often and a suspension is very rare for me - so it was really an unusual situation. I didn't have an easy time," said the Werder defender.

This 18 players took the flight to Augsburg at 5 p.m.:
Mielitz, Wolf - Lukimya, De Bruyne, Arnautovic, Fritz, Elia, Schmitz, Hunt, Prödl, Junuzovic, Ignjovski, Akpala, Sokratis, Gebre Selassie, Petersen, Füllkrug, Bargfrede.
